Nexus-Level Tax Exemption
In NetSuite 2023.1, you can disable tax calculations for nexuses where you are not required to calculate or record taxes in SuiteTax. NetSuite administrators, implementation consultants, and partners can assign a nexus to a subsidiary and classify it as being tax-exempt. This feature enables you to skip tax engine selection and the related configuration when your business is not required to report taxes. It also disables tax calculation on transactions for those nexuses. A nexus’ tax-exempt status appears in the Tax Registrations subtab in Subsidiary records. For more information about nexus-level tax exemptions, see the help topics Enabling the SuiteTax Feature, Selecting a Tax Engine for Tax Registrations on Migrated Subsidiary Records, and Assigning Tax Registrations to a Subsidiary in SuiteTax.
